Custom outfits are made according to your measurements and your approved design specifications. Because each piece is cut for one person, custom orders are confirmed by consultation before production begins and are not returnable once cutting has started.

Our Story

Urban Chic Fashion House is a Kenyan fashion house built around personal style, craftsmanship, confidence and individuality. It began small — one designer, one machine, a growing rail of finished pieces — with the ambition to grow into a recognised fashion and lifestyle house.

We design for women who want to be seen as themselves. That means clean lines, considered proportions and a fit that belongs to the person wearing it, whether the piece comes from the ready-to-wear rail or from a private commission.

Our collections move between two sides of the house: ready-to-wear designs available now, and made-to-measure pieces created in the studio for one woman and one occasion at a time.

A garment should serve the woman wearing it. We design with restraint — clean silhouettes, honest fabrics and finishing that holds up — so the piece feels like yours rather than a trend you borrowed.

Returns, delivery and the questions we are asked most often — all in one place.

Returns & Exchanges

Ready-to-wear

Unworn ready-to-wear pieces may be returned or exchanged within 24 hours delivery, with tags attached and in original condition. Contact us on WhatsApp first so we can arrange the return.

Made-to-measure

Because each piece is cut for one person and one set of measurements, custom orders cannot be returned once cutting has started. If the fit is not right, we alter the piece free of charge within 24 hours of delivery.

Faults

If a piece arrives with a fault in the make or the fabric, tell us within 24 hours of delivery and we will repair or remake it at no cost.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued by M-Pesa or bank transfer within 5 working days of the returned piece reaching the studio.

Shipping & Delivery

Production

Ready-to-wear pieces are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Made-to-measure pieces take 2–5 days; beading, heavy structure or imported fabric may take longer.

Delivery 

Delivery fees and timelines will be communicated directly to the customer, Studio pick-up is free by appointment.

International

We ship worldwide on request. Charges are quoted per order and any customs duties are payable by the customer.

Payment

Pay by M-Pesa or bank transfer. Orders are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before payment, and we never store your payment details on this site.

How do I order?

Choose a piece from the shop or send us a design you love from TikTok, Instagram or Pinterest, then message us on WhatsApp to confirm the design, fabric and date.

How do I give my measurements?

Send your bust, waist, hip and length, or ask us for guidance with our sizing chart. We can also book a fitting in the Nairobi studio.

Can I change my order?

Yes — design, fabric or measurement changes are possible before cutting begins. Once cutting has started, changes may not be possible.

How do I care for my piece?

Specific care instructions are included on each garments label

Do you accept custom client designs?

No — we only work with our in-house Urban Chic designs.
